ABOUT MERRYDAY STUDIO
Faye is an award-winning designer and the founder of Merryday Studio. She has been working as a freelance illustrator and designer for over 15 years, designing pop-up greeting cards and fashion items.
Inspired by the British landscape and its inhabitants, Faye’s beautiful collection of 3D greeting cards and silk scarves are full of colour, pattern and joy - perfect for gifting.

A NOTE FROM FAYE...
Throughout my career, I’ve taken flat materials -sheet metal, fabric, or paper - and transformed them into three-dimensional forms. I have always added surface pattern and explored the effect of this pattern on the final creation.
In 1999 I studied for a BA Hons in Applied Arts and later studied pattern-cutting and garment manufacture to further deepen my understanding of shape and form.
My pop-up cards embody all the skills that I have learnt. I transform flat paper into three-dimensional animals and use surface pattern to enhance the characters.
With the silk scarves, I create contemporary designs with divine colour combinations. While scarves are a practical item, I approach them like jewellery, aiming to create something that makes the wearer feel both beautiful and confident. I focus on flattering colours and look at how the patten interacts with the folds and drapes of the fabric.
